LewdChat is an online community aimed to provide a fun, anonymous platform for users to connect with each other. Our primary platforms are offered through IRC and Discord. While LewdChat supports open-minded discussions under various levels of anonymity, we do strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all of our users. In order to maintain a positive community, we have developed the following set of guidelines that must be adhered to in all official channels of the platform.
By utilizing LewdChat, whether through logging in through our IRC platform or by joining our Discord server, you (as a user) hereby agree to the following terms:
You will abide by Discord’s Community Guidelines
You are at least 18 years of age, and are in compliance with your local legislation regarding accessing adult content.
You understand that the Community Staff are here to maintain a conducive environment for all users, and that directions and requests made by the staff are to be acknowledged and followed.
You understand that Community Staff reserves the right to restrict or deny your access to any or all parts of LewdChat should you violate any of the above terms, and any of the community rules listed below.
The Community Agreement hereinafter referred to as CA, provides a comprehensive overview, while the following community rules detail the specific regulations users must follow, as derived from the Community Agreement. Each rule corresponds to a particular section of the Community Agreement, offering detailed elaboration.
Community Rules
- Be respectful. LewdChat is a community open to all. All members should be treated with respect and dignity, and any form of harassment towards any members of the community (including staff) will not be tolerated. Furthermore, consent is required in all interactions.
[CA Reference: Respect – Respect Other Users] - Be courteous and polite. As an extension to the above, consider the golden rule: Treat others as you would yourself. If you wouldn’t say or do something to yourself, chances are others may also not appreciate having the same done onto them.
[CA Reference: Respect – Respect Yourself] - Be yourself. We ask all users to be real and to be themselves. Outside of the context of roleplay, pretending to be someone you are not is prohibited. Logging in with an age and/or gender different from your own is considered malicious as the intent can only be to deceive others, and will be considered agefishing and/or catfishing and are never allowed.
[CA Reference: Honesty – Be Yourself (No Catfishing)] - No discussions that are illegal in nature. Although we do promote anonymity as an online platform, we are still subject to local and international laws. As such, we cannot allow discussions involving illegal subjects or substances.
[CA Reference: Limits – Illicit Discussion] - Abusive behaviors are strictly prohibited. This includes, but are not limited to: Hate speech, racial slurs, self-harm, shaming, substance abuse and any kind of abuse intended at inflicting emotional or mental harm onto others. Targeting of any individual, group or even LewdChat itself is also prohibited.
[CA Reference: Politeness – No Hate or Abusive Behavior, Limits – Targeting] - English only in our official channels. While LewdChat is an international platform, we are based and operated from the United States. As such, for the safety of all users, we only allow English to be used within our official channels. Users are free to create their own private channels and utilize the language(s) of their choice. Users can also explore language-specific channels such as #Lewd-ES for Spanish, or #desis for Hindi/Urdu.
[CA Reference: Politeness – English Only (In Official Channels)] - No spamming, flooding or excessive advertising. In order for all users to be able to enjoy our chatrooms, we ask that self-advertisements be limited to a reasonable frequency. Excessive advertising will be considered as spamming.
[CA Reference: Politeness – No Spamming, Flooding, or Excessive Advertising] - No self-promotion in official channels. As social media platforms nullify the purpose of LewdChat, we would like our users to remain on LewdChat and engage with the collective community. News outlets may be shared (assuming the topic is appropriate for the channel), however sharing links and account handles of social media platforms such as, but are not limited to Snapchat, Kik, Telegram and Discord are generally not allowed in official channels.
[CA Reference: Politeness – No Spamming, Flooding, or Excessive Advertising] - No soliciting. LewdChat is not the place for you to sell your personal content or products. Soliciting for money in any form is not allowed on our platform. Sending links, scams, catfishing, agefishing and generally any conduct with the aim of deceiving others is expressly forbidden.
[CA Reference: Politeness – No Spamming, Flooding, or Excessive Advertising] - No malicious links. Sharing links with the intent of obtaining information from other users through malicious means is strictly forbidden. As an example, IP grabbing links are considered malicious and cannot be shared on LewdChat.
[CA Reference: Limits – Misleading Others] - Follow channel-specific rules. Specific channels may have their own set of rules in place. Channel-specific rules are there to help drive conducive conduct within that particular channel and should also be observed.
[CA Reference: Courtesy – Roleplay Conduct] - Multiple connections are not allowed. As we ask our users to be their real selves, logging in with multiple connections is strictly forbidden. While you are allowed to register multiple nicknames, we strongly encourage you to use only one account so as to not cause confusion or unintentionally mislead others.
[CA Reference: Limits – Misleading Others] - Minimize drama, and do not instigate issues. We understand that from time to time, arguments may occur, and we can’t always get along. However, we ask our users to behave like reasonable adults and either sort it out privately in private messages or make use of the /ignore function and walking away from the disagreement. Intentionally causing a scene, or fanning the flames will not be tolerated.
[CA Reference: Honesty – Be Real (Minimize Drama), Limits – Drama] - No sharing PMs in public channels without consent. Sharing PMs in public channels without the consent of all parties involved violates this privacy and can lead to misunderstandings and conflicts. Keeping private conversations private ensures that personal matters remain confidential and that individuals feel secure in their communications. This practice helps limit unnecessary drama and disruptions in main channels, fostering a more positive and supportive environment for everyone.
[CA Reference: Respect – Respect Other Users] - Report issues to staff. If you see anything that requires staff intervention or action, it is your duty to make a report to the Community Staff. You can do so by visiting the #report channel on IRC or opening a new ticket through ModMail on Discord. Please substantiate your report with screenshots and our staff will review and take action as necessary.
[CA Reference: Honesty – Use #Report] - Abusive behavior towards staff will not be tolerated. LewdChat Staff are comprised of a dedicated team of volunteers with real lives just like yourself. Staff are acting with the best interest of the community in mind, and you may not always agree with decisions reached by the staff. Nonetheless, we ask that you respect staff directions and requests.
[CA Reference: Respect – Respect Staff] - Ban evasion will result in compound bans. If you believe you have been wrongly banned from LewdChat, you may make an appeal by emailing appeal@lewdchat.com. However, understand that our stance on bans is firm. Attempting to circumvent actions taken by the staff, including mutes, bans or others not explicitly stated here will result in compounding bans.
[CA Reference: Limits – Ban Evasion] - Use your best judgment and common sense. Despite being an online platform, we still ask our users to conduct themselves respectfully and courteously. Just because you might consider something to be inoffensive, it does not mean that others will agree. If you cannot say something in front of a group of strangers in the real world, you probably don’t want to say that here either. Further, others may not understand your specific context, even if you have no malicious intent, you are still responsible for your actions.
[CA Reference: Courtesy – Use Your Best Judgement] - Do not share pictures of others than yourself. Sharing images of individuals other than yourself is strictly prohibited. This policy is designed to safeguard the privacy and well-being of others, ensuring that images of personal relationships, including but not limited to those of spouses, family members, or acquaintances, are not shared. This rule aligns with our broader commitment to respecting privacy and consent. Unauthorized sharing of such images for purposes of doxxing, revenge, boasting, or any other intent is expressly forbidden.”

- Consent is required at all times. Remember that consent is absolutely required at all times. If someone says “No” then the correct response is to respect their boundaries and not push further.

While these rules are intended to be general guidelines for respectful engagement within LewdChat, the Community Staff will reserve the right to evaluate and make decisions on matters happening within the community. If you disagree with a decision reached by the staff, you may privately appeal your case but stirring dissent or drama will not be tolerated.[CA Reference: Introduction]
- General acknowledgment. By utilizing any part of LewdChat, whether through our IRC, Discord or any other medium, users are deemed to have reviewed, understood and agree to abide by the community agreement and rules laid out above. Community guidelines and rules are subject to review and change from time to time and may be issued with or without notice. Pleading ignorance does not excuse prohibited conduct or behaviors.
